So last week I went to The Newborn Baby Show, and though the name is aimed at newborn baby photographers it also offers so much more. The show stands, the setup, location was brilliant, and being based in the Midlands it was only 30 minutes drive away.
This year I did a course on outdoor photography with "But Natural Photography" with Sujata Setia. The course was a morning around the grounds of the Heart of England conference center. It's a place I hold close to my heart as that was where my husband and I got married. Still, a place I love whenever I have had the chance to go back. The weather really wasn't on our side but managing to hide under trees and in the woods helped. We had five amazing models, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters. They took direction amazingly and I'm really pleased with the end results.
The dresses were by Mii-Estilo, and the lads were styled and dressed by their mum Claire Richardson from Bluebells & Butterflies Photography, all poses and set up's was done by Sujata and the editing is mine, though we did have time to learn new editing techniques from Sujata at the end of the course. It was amazing to see how Sujata works behind the scene and was a true pleasure to meet her, it was also so nice to meet more lovely minded photographers on the course. Everyone these days seem to be in competition with one another, so being around a group full of photographers who were wanting to learn and better ourselves was a delight.
