So where do I even begin with this wedding. To describe such a beautiful day with the sun shining from the moment we woke up to sunset. The wedding took place at Draycote Hotel in Rugby, with the girls getting ready at the venue in the morning. The Groom boys got ready at Clare and Johns house and after spending some time on the kiddies slides (don’t ask) made their way to St John the Baptist’s.
Having four little girls and a pageboy to entertain in the morning may not have been easy but with games and food and love of Clare’s friend this played a major part.
Walking into the church was nice and relaxed and easy for Clare, being walked down the aisle by her father. The service went smoothly and at the end when they said; “I do” they moved on to baptising their children.
Walking out of the church into the sunshine as Mr & Mrs Southam we were able to get a large group photo outside the church. With a little bit of time on our side we asked the vicar if we were able to go back into the church for a quick photo by the altar. With the light of sunshine coming through the back window we made it possible to capture an amazing photograph of Claire and John to add into their wedding album.
After this time we made our way back to Draycote Hotel and the reception meal began. Claire and Johns wedding was the day for celebration and making it possible to have all their friends with them. After dinner John Claire Paul & myself made our way on the golf buggies to the waterside of Draycote water. Being away from all the guests John and Clare had a little time off to practice the dance moves for their first dance as this was still to be a surprise for their guest.
We made it to three different stops to create some lasting memories and bride and groom photos. Shortly after arriving back at the venue with a little D tour around the golf course, evening guests were arriving. The next stop for the evening was the cutting of the cake and the first dance. Halfway through the first dance cannons were let off to create lots of confetti inside.
This wedding wouldn’t have been complete without lots of people behind the scenes to add the little touches and though Clare had thought of everything there were some things she had helped with.
Finishing the evening off in regards to photographs we set up some lights outside of the hotel in the gardens and managed to capture the bride and groom for nighttime photos.
A big thank you goes to Claire and John for allowing us to create some amazing images for their wedding album. For now I am sharing a few photographs from their big day many congratulations to Mr & Mrs Southam.
