At Lisa Scott Photography, I specialise in creating beautiful, natural newborn photographs that capture all those little details you never want to forget. My newborn sessions are relaxed, gentle and completely baby-led, giving you the time to slow down and simply enjoy this incredibly special moment in your lives.

I believe your newborn photography experience should be just as special as the photographs themselves.
My newborn session fee is £65, which includes your relaxed newborn photography session and an 8×6″ professional print of your choice from the images we create together.
After your session, you’ll have the opportunity to choose your favourite photographs and decide how you would like to treasure them. I offer a beautiful selection of additional prints and products, available to purchase separately, so you can create something truly personal for your family.
The session fee does not include additional digital images, prints or products.

If you’re expecting a little one, I’d love to hear from you and help you plan your newborn session. These precious first days really do pass far too quickly.
I recommend getting in touch and booking your newborn photography session during your pregnancy, ideally around your 20–30 week scan. This gives us plenty of time to chat about your session, answer any questions you may have and make sure I have availability around your due date.
I completely understand that your due date is only an estimated date. Babies have a wonderful habit of arriving when they’re ready! When you book, I simply reserve a space around a week after your due date. Once your little one arrives, just let me know and we can arrange the exact date for your session.
Newborn sessions are ideally photographed within the first couple of weeks after birth, when your baby is still very sleepy and curled up, making it a wonderful time to capture those tiny newborn details.
But please don’t worry if your baby has already arrived and you haven’t booked yet. It’s never too late to get in touch. If I have availability, I will always do my best to fit you in.

Absolutely nothing fancy is needed! You don’t need to spend money buying special outfits for your newborn photography session. I have a beautiful selection of soft, simple newborn outfits, wraps and accessories available for you to choose from, all carefully selected to photograph beautifully.
For many of my newborn images, I love keeping things simple. Soft wraps, delicate textures and neutral tones allow your baby to be the focus of the photograph and really show off all those gorgeous little details, their tiny fingers, button nose, sleepy expressions and those impossibly tiny toes!
Before your session, we’ll have a chat about the colours and style you love, so I can make sure everything we use fits the look you’re hoping for. Whether you prefer soft and neutral, something a little more classic, or a touch of colour, we’ll create a collection of images that feels personal to you and your family.
And don’t worry if your baby decides they don’t want to wear anything at all! Newborns are very much in charge during their session. If they need feeding, cuddling, changing or simply some time to settle, we take our time and go at their pace.
You are also very welcome to bring along a special blanket, teddy, outfit or another meaningful item you’d like included in a photograph. These little personal touches can make your images even more special and become treasured memories in years to come.
Most importantly, come as you are and let me take care of the rest. You have enough to think about as a new parent — choosing the perfect newborn outfit doesn’t need to be one of them!
Absolutely! Your newborn session isn’t just about your baby. It’s about capturing your family and the incredible connection you have with one another.
I always encourage parents to be involved in the session, even if you’re feeling tired, nervous or perhaps not quite feeling like you’re ready to be in front of the camera. I promise, you don’t need to know how to pose or worry about getting everything perfect. I’ll gently guide you through it and keep things natural and relaxed.
Some of my favourite newborn photographs are the ones that show the connection between a parent and their baby, the tiny hand wrapped around your finger, your baby nestled against your chest, or simply the way you look at your new little person.
Siblings are welcome too, and I love capturing those first special moments between brothers and sisters. Whether they’re excited to meet their new baby, a little unsure about sharing the attention, or simply being their wonderfully energetic selves, we’ll capture their personalities and the beginning of their new relationship.
We’ll also take photographs of the whole family together, as well as individual photographs of baby, parents and siblings. These images become incredibly precious as your children grow.
And please don’t worry if your older children don’t sit perfectly still or follow every direction, they’re children, not professional models! We’ll work around them and keep things fun and relaxed.

Years from now, you’ll be able to look back and remember not just how tiny your baby was, but how your whole family felt in those first precious days together.
Newborn photography is definitely not something to rush! Your baby is in charge, so I allow plenty of time for feeding, cuddles, changing, settling and those little moments when your baby simply needs to be close to you.
A newborn session will usually take around 2+ hours, although some sessions may be a little shorter or longer depending on your baby. Every baby is different, and that’s completely fine.
There is no pressure to keep your baby settled just because we’re taking photographs. If your little one is hungry, we stop for a feed. If they need a cuddle, we have a cuddle. If they need a nappy change, we take a break. And if they decide they would rather have a little cry, that’s okay too!
Your baby sets the pace.
I want your newborn session to feel relaxed and enjoyable rather than like you’re watching the clock. You can sit back, enjoy some cuddles and watch me capture all those tiny details that you’ll want to remember forever.
It’s a good idea to allow a little extra time around your session rather than booking anything immediately afterwards. There is no need to rush off, this is your time to slow down and enjoy your new baby.
